Location and Transportation

237 Grove Street is located in a quiet residential block in the Van Vorst Park neighborhood of downtown Jersey City, two blocks from City Hall. Nearby, there are many excellent restaurants, running the entire gamut from French, Dominican, Polish, and Cuban to Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and Pakistani.

The house is located near all transportation. The PATH train, a five-minute walk from the house, is a subway that takes you to Manhattan in a matter of minutes – approximately five minutes to the World Trade Center stop and ten to twenty minutes to any of the stops along the West Side of Manhattan. The final stop, 33rd Street (near New York's Pennsylvania Station and Madison Square Garden) is a ten-minute walk from Times Square and the theater district.

Other transportation is nearby as well. The Water Taxi and the New York Waterways ferries pick up passengers at ferry stops at various locations in downtown Jersey City, some as close as a five-minute walk. The Hudson-Bergen Light Rail is a new surface rail system that connects Jersey City with Bayonne, Hoboken (with its countless restaurants), and Weehawken, with plans to extend the rail link all the way to Fort Lee, several miles to the north.

For those who arrive in their own cars, or who rent cars while they are in Jersey City, 237 Grove is ten minutes from Manhattan via the Holland Tunnel and five minutes from the New Jersey Turnpike, which provides further access to all parts of New Jersey. Newark Liberty Airport is fifteen-minutes away by car or taxi.

In short, this is an ideal location for your stay in the New York/New Jersey area.
